The Springboks halfback Fourie du Preez won't play again this year, confirming that an ankle injury will keep him out of action for the next six months.
The South African Rugby Union had said earlier this week they expected 32-year-old du Preez to be sidelined for three months, but following surgery doctors believe his recovery time will be double their initial prediction.
