Black Caps in good space ahead of T20 series

6:59 pm on 12 November 2009

The New Zealand cricketers are hopeful their one-day series win over Pakistan in Abu Dhabi can inspire some more history.

That was the first-ever one day away series victory over Pakistan for the Black Caps and they've never won a Twenty20 match against their hosts.

Skipper Dan Vettori maintains his side are in a positive mood ahead of the two-match T20 series starting tomorrow morning in Dubai.

But the Pakistan cricketer Umar Gul says his side's squad is full of heavy hitters and will be tough for New Zealand to beat.

Pakistan are looking to make amends for the series loss and paceman Umar Gul says his side is perfectly suited to T20 cricket.

The second Twenty20's on Saturday.
