The teenage New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko has fallen agonisingly short of winning her fourth LPGA tour title and second as a professional after finishing tied for second at the latest event in Arkansas.

The 17-year-old shot a final round bogey free 6 birdie 6 under par 65 to finish on 11 under for the tournament, just one shot behind the winner American Stacy Lewis.

Fellow New Zealander Tim Wilkinson finished the latest PGA tour event in Maryland in a tie for 24th after shooting a final round 3 over 74 to end 3 over for the tournament.

Englishman Justin Rose won the event in a playoff over American Shawn Stefani.
