The New Zealand driver and defending Indy Car series champion Scott Dixon has finished a disappointing 18th at the latest race in Houston, Texas, limping home after suffering problems with his car.
Frenchman Simon Pagenaud won the race.
Dixon, who last year claimed his third Indy Car series title, drops to ninth place overall, 168 points behind the overall leader, Australian Will Power, with just 8 of the 18 rounds remaining.
