Black Sticks women named for Glasgow

8:38 am on 29 June 2014

A familiar-looking New Zealand women's hockey side has been selected to play in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next month.

All the players in the side attended the recent World Cup in the Netherlands, where New Zealand finished fifth.

The only two players from the World Cup to miss out on the 16 strong squad are Michaela Curtis and goalkeeper Bianca Russell.

The side are looking to go one better than the silver medal they won in 2010, when they lost the final to Australia in a shootout.
