The New Zealand racewalker Lesley Cantwell will be remembered at this year's Oceania Athletics Championships, which starts in Rarotonga tomorrow.
Cantwell suffered a brain hemorrhage after winning the 5000 metres walk during last year's Championships in Tahiti, and later died in hospital.
The Executive Director of the Oceania Athletics Association, Yvonne Mullins, says Cantwell is still very much in everyone's thoughts.
