Five game ban looms for Warriors centre

The Warriors centre Ngani Laumape could be banned for up to five National Rugby League matches after being charged with a grade three dangerous throw charge by the match review committee.

Laumape's been charged over a tackle on Brisbane front-rower Josh McGuire in his side's 19-10 win at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday.

The 22-year-old will miss three games if he accepts the early guilty plea but will sit out five if he unsuccessfully fights the cahrge at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday.

His teammate prop Suaia Matagi has also been charged over a tackle on Broncos playmaker Josh Hoffman.

Matagi will be able to play Penrith on Sunday if he pleads guilty.
