Returning hero Murray ready for business at Wimbledon

5:57 am on 23 June 2014

Wimbledon welcomes back a British men's singles champion for the first time in 78 years tonight but Andy Murray says he will allow himself only a brief moment to milk the adulation before getting down to business.

After his momentous win over Serbia's Novak Djokovic in last year's final, Murray has the honour of opening proceedings on Centre Court against Belgium David Goffin in what he hopes will be the first step to retaining his title.

Since losing to Roger Federer in the 2012 final, the 27 year old Scot has been unbeatable on the hallowed turf, a run that has included an Olympic gold and a Wimbledon title, and he's made the semi-finals for the last four years.
