Russia and South Korea draw in Cuiaba

Russia and South Korea have drawn 1-1 in their opening group H World Cup match in Cuiaba.

Russia's Alexander Kerzhakov came to the rescue in the 74th minute, scoring three minutes after coming on as a substitute to secure a share of the points.

The Russian goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev had gifted the Asians the lead in the 68th minute when he let a shot slip through his hands.

The result leaves the teams with a point apiece, two behind group leaders Belgium, who came from behind to beat Algeria 2-1.
