Highlanders centre Malakai Fekitoa is set to make his first Test start in the third match against England in Hamilton this weekend.
With the veteran Conrad Smith out with a broken thumb, Fekitoa is in the box seat to get the starting spot after training at centre for much of today's session.
All Black backs coach Ian Foster says they like what they've seen of the 22-year-old, who's batlting with Ryan Crotty for the No.13 jersey.
Foster says the coaches have been impressed by his calmness when he's played, doing the basics really well without all the flash stuff.
