The Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic have been beaten 54-50 by the Queensland Firebirds in the ANZ Championship preliminary netball final in Brisbane.
The Firebirds were up by eight early in the second half, but the Magic shaved that to just three heading into the final quarter, however the home side held on for a second straight trip to the final.
The Queenslanders will take on the Melbourne Vixens in Melbourne on Sunday for the title.
