The Spanish footballer Cesc Fabregas has joined Chelsea from Barcelona on a five-year contract for a transfer fee in the region of 30 million pounds.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who's on World Cup duty in Brazil with Spain, is likley to team up at Chelsea next season with the prolific Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa.
Chelsea's manager Jose Mourinho signed Fabregas after Arsenal, the club he joined in 2003 and eventually captained, decided not to take up their option to re-sign him.
