The New Zealand women's hockey team have missed out on a semi-final place at the World Cup in the Netherlands after drawing 0-0 with Australia in their final pool match.
The Black Sticks needed a win to have any chance of making the last four.
Head coach Mark Hager says it's disappointing to draw especially given the opportunities created to score a crucial winning goal.
Hager says they defended well and threw everything at them at the end but just couldn't score.
The Netherlands and Australia qualify from the group, while New Zealand finished third and now go into classification matches for fifth.
On the men's side of the draw, the Black Sticks face a must-win against the Netherlands overnight to stand any chance of progressing to the semi-finals.
