The Mainland Tactix ended a tough trans-Tasman netball season on a low note, falling to a 17-goal loss the the Thunderbirds in Adelaide in the final round of the competition.
The 66-49 victory gave the Thunderbirds a 5-8 win-loss record for the year, equalling their worst season victory tally since the competition began, while the Tactix finish firmly rooted to the bottom of the ladder with just one win from their 12 games this season.
The Tactix claim the wooden spoon for the fourth time in five seasons.
