The Warriors skipper Simon Mannering has celebrated his milestone game for the club in style, leading his side to a 38-18 NRL win over the Newcastle Knights at Mt Smart Stadium.

Playing in his 200th game for the club and 100th as captain, Mannering scored two tries in the first half as the Warriors returned to their traditional home ground for the first time this season.

Manu Vatuvei also crossed the line twice for the home side, while Sam Tomkins, Chad Townsend and Konrad Hurrell all got on the scoresheet.

The Warriors delivered a clinical attacking display, completing 93-percent of their sets and making just one error.

They now sit in 12th place, just two points off the top eight and take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs next week.
