Mercedes boss says driver tension is building

7:07 am on 27 May 2014

The head of the Mercedes formula one team, Niki Lauda says he'll be talking to Lewis Hamilton before the next race in Canada to smooth over a tense situation within the team.

Hamilton accused his teammate Nico Rosberg of deliberately going off the Monaco track during qualifying to stop him challenging for pole position.

Hamilton finished second behind Rosberg in yesterday's Grand Prix, and was still clearly unhappy after the race about what had happened the previous day.

Rosberg was cleared of any wrong doing by race stewards.
