The Colombian cyclist Rigoberto Uran has taken hold of the tour leaders pink jersey after the 12th stage of the Giro d'Italia.
Uran blitzed the field in the 42-kilometre individual time trial to overturn a one minute deficit on Australian Cadel Evans who struggled in the rain.
Uran now has a 37-second lead over Evans going into the mountain stages and is Colombia's first-ever Giro leader.
