Bevin loses lead in Ireland

The New Zealand cyclist Patrick Bevin has lost his lead in the Tour of Ireland after finishing 10 minutes behind the fifth stage winner.

Clemens Fankhauser of Austraia finished in the lead group on th 169-kilometre stage to take over on general classification.

Bevin, who is riding in a New Zealand team that is using the Tour to prepare for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, is now eight minutes off the pace.

There are three stages remaining.
