New Zealand's Olympic kayak racing champion Lisa Carrington has reached the 500 metres final at the second World Cup meet of the year in the Czech Republic.

Carrington won her semi-final by almost a second, after cruising to third in her heat.

Compatriot and fellow world champion Teneale Hatton dominated her K1 1000 heat, winning by more than 13 seconds to progress straight through to the final.

The men's K4 1000 also made the final after finishing third in their semi.
