The Wellington Phoenix midfielder Carlos Hernandez has made the Costa Rica provisional squad of 30 for this year's football World Cup.
However club team-mate Kenny Cunningham has missed out.
The squad will be trimmed to 23 before the World Cup.
Costa Rica play Uruguay, England and Italy in their group.
