Adams strong as Thunder take lead

The New Zealand basketballer, Steven Adams, has made another meaningful contribution in Oklahoma City Thunder's NBA playoff win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Adams had four points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 17 minutes as the Thunder came away with a 118-112 on the road to take a 2-1 series lead.

The league's MVP, Kevin Durant, led all scorers with 36 points and eight rebounds while Russell Westbrook flirted with a second straight triple-double with 23 points, 13 assists and eight boards.

Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 34 points and the point guard Chris Paul had a double-double with 21 points and 16 assists.

Game four of the best of seven series is in Los Angeles on Monday.
