Derby County have taken control of their English football Championship playoff semi-final against Brighton with a 2-1 away win in the first leg.
County, who last played in the Premier League six years ago, went into the tie having finished 13 points ahead of Brighton and had beaten them twice already this season.
The first leg of the other Championship playoff semi-final is between Wigan and QPR.
