The Young All Whites have stepped up preparations for this month's FIFA Under 17 soccer World Cup in Nigeria with a 3-2 win over the Gippsland men's team in Australia.

Ten minutes into the match Cameron Lindsay set up Andrew Milne for his second goal in as many tour matches, and Michael Built doubled the lead midway through the first spell.

The New Zealanders led 2-1 at half time.

The home side levelled the scores in the 78th minute but a solo effort from substitute Tim Pilkington sealed the win for the Young All Whites five minutes from fulltime.

The final game in their three-match warm-up tour is against the Victoria Institute of Sport Under 17 side tomorrow.

The Young All Whites World Cup campaign in Nigeria sees them taking on Costa Rica, Burkina Faso and Turkey from October the 25th.
