The Southern Steel has announced the signing of two new players for next year's trans-Tasman championship.
Former Sting defender Emma Moynihan and midcourter Hayley Saunders will add to side's southern flavour - both were raised in Southland and are now studying in Dunedin.
Moynihan will join a defensive line-up that already features Silver Ferns Sheryl Scanlan and Leana de Bruin and New Zealand under-21 star Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit.
Saunders lines up alongside Silver Ferns Liana Barrett-Chase and Wendy Telfer and the experienced Erika Burgess in the midcourt, while the World 7 goal attack Megan Dehn joins shooters Daneka Wipiiti and Julianna Naoupu.
The Steel plan to add another shooter by the November 2 deadline.
