New Zealand Golf will review the amount of government funding Lydia Ko should receive following her first LPGA Tour win as a professional at the Swinging Skirts Classic.
The sport's national body had applied for more than 200-thousand dollars from High Performance Sport New Zealand to help pay for Ko's coaching, travel and mental skills training.
However, with the 17-year-old earning more than 300-thousand dollars with yesterday's win the New Zealand Golf Chief Executive, Dean Murphy, says they'll look at whether that funding is still necessary.
Dean Murphy says High Performance Sport NZ's targeted funding model means the only money New Zealand golf gets is for Ko.
