The New Zealand heavyweight boxer Joseph Parker has beaten Brazilian Marcelo Nascimento by technical knockout with the referee stopping the fight in the seventh round in Germany.
After dominating the first five rounds Parker was caught with some heavy shots in the sixth as a large cut opened above his left eye, however he regathered himself to finish the job the next round.
The 22-year-old's professional record improves to 8 wins 0 losses with seven knockouts.
Parker was fighting on the undercard of the world heavyweight title bout between Ukranian Wladimir Klitschko and Australian Alex Leapai, which takes place later this morning.
