Tiger urges coach Potter NRL re-signing

Five-eight Curtis Sironen has urged the Wests Tigers to re-sign coach Mick Potter after extending his own contract with the NRL league club until the end of 2017.

Due to come off-contract at the end of 2014, Potter was one of the coaches under most pressure to keep his job coming into the season but the Tigers' impressive start has led to talk of him staying with the club long term.

Sironen, 20, committed to the Tigers for three more years on Thursday, adding to a number of recent re-signings including Luke Brooks, Aaron Woods, David Nofoaluma and Mitchell Moses.

With the future looking bright for the equal competition leaders, Sironen says he would like to see Potter play a part in that beyond this season.

Sironen says he's hopeful fullback James Tedesco would be the next to re-sign with the Tigers.
