Sri Lanka's demon fast bowler Lasith Malinga has been appointed captain of his country's Twenty20 cricket team until March next year.
Malinga had been vice-captain to Dinesh Chandimal, but he took over the captaincy for the last three games of the World T20 tournament in Bangladesh earlier this month.
