The Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder has made three changes to his starting XV to play the Chiefs in Hamilton on Saturday.
In the forwards, Owen Franks and Nepo Laulala have switched places again so that Franks takes the number 3 jersey this week and Laulala takes a place on the bench.
Jordan Taufua starts for the first time this season at number 6, with Luke Whitelock on the bench, while Tom Taylor also starts, the versatile All Black playing at centre this week.
Missing due to injury are Richie McCaw, Luke Romano, Kieron Fonotia and Joe Moody.
