Patient game plan pays off for Pulse

5:36 pm on 15 April 2014

The Central Pulse shooter Irene Van Dyk says their game plan worked to perfection as they climbed into the trans-tasman netball championship top four with a 62-54 win over the Southern Steel in Invercargill.

The win, the Pulse's fourth at the halfway point of the season, lifts them to fourth on the ladder, while the loss keeps the Steel second to last in the ten team competition.

The visitors employed a patient game plan on offence taking up to 13 passes to penetrate the attacking circle and van Dyk says the strategy paid off.

Van Dyk, in her 99th ANZ Championship appearance, slotted all 36 shots she put up for the Pulse.
