The Warriors have been beaten by the Canterbury Bulldogs 21-20 in a thrilling National Rugby League clash at Eden Park in Auckland.

Sam Tomkins and Manu Vatuvei scored first half tries to give the home side a 10-6 half time lead before the Warrior's centre Konrad Hurrell crossed the line early in the second half.

The captain Simon Mannering scored the Warriors' fourth try before the Bulldogs scored their third in the 66th minute to trail 18-20.

Two minutes later Tomkins conceeded a penalty for not releasing the tackled player and the Bulldog's Trent Hodkinson kicked a penalty goal to level the scores at 20-all.

With five minutes left to play Hodkinson kicked a field goal to give the Bulldogs a one point win.
