The defending National Basketball League champions, the Southland Sharks, have rebounded from their loss last week at home to rout Waitakere's Super City Rangers 117-88 in Invercargill.
Former Breaker Kevin Braswell shot a game-high 30 points while current Breaker Reuben Te Rangi grabbed 27 and another Breakers star, Darryl Corletto, shot 21 points in a losing debut for the Rangers.
Southland now have the weekend off before they travel up north to play the Wellington Saints in a rematch of last year's semi-final next Thursday, followed by the Manawatu Jets the next night.
