Moore picks up Masters curse in Par-three contest

The American Ryan Moore's won the event that no one wants to win, triumphing in the annual par-three contest on the eve of the US Masters.

In the 54 years the event has been staged since Sam Snead won the inaugural competition in 1960, no par-three winner has gone on to emerge victorious at the Masters in the same year.

However Moore, who finished with a six under par 21 for the nine holes, says he's not afraid of the curse and believes it's only a matter of time before someone breaks it.

The fun-filled nine-hole event, where players are allowed to use friends and family as caddies, is a real hit with the spectators.

The World number nine Rory McIlroy entered into the spirit of the occasion allowing his fiancee and tennis star Caroline Wozniacki to take one of his putts, which she holed from 25 feet.
