The English Premier League football club Norwich City have sacked manager Chris Hughton and replaced him with youth team coach Neil Adams in an effort to avoid relegation.
A club statement says the recent run of four defeats in their last six Premier League games and six consecutive away league defeats, has left the club with no choice but to act, with five games still to play in the current campaign.
Coaches Colin Calderwood and Paul Trollope have also left the club.
Norwich suffered a 1-0 defeat to fellow strugglers West Bromwich Albion on Sunday that left them one place and five points above the relegation zone with five games of their season remaining.
Hughton was appointed before the start of last season and led the club to 11th in the Premier League in his first campaign.
