Crusaders aim to halve errors against Lions

6:06 pm on 5 April 2014

The Crusaders start their African tour in Johannesburg against the Lions on Sunday morning languishing at the bottom of the New Zealand conference.

To make matters worse, they'll be without their captain Kieran Read who was concussed in last week's loss to the Hurricanes.

Assistant coach, Aaron Mauger, says his team will only stand a chance if they make fewer mistakes.

He says this season the Crusaders are averaging 21 errors each match which they'll have to halve if they want to win.

The Crusaders take on the Lions at three o'clock on Sunday morning.
