The Northern Knights have set the Wellington Firebirds a winning total of 233 in the final of the cricket's domestic one day competition at Mount Maunganui.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Knights lost its openers cheaply before the Black Caps' Test wicket keeper BJ Watling steadied the ship with a half century.
He was supported by Brad Wilson who top scored with 68, before both batsmen were removed by Wellington's veteran spin bowler Luke Woodcock.
Northern Districts were 232 for 9 at the end of fifty overs.
Pace bowler Brent Arnel was the best of the Firebird's bowlers taking 3 wickets for 30 runs off nine overs while Mark Gillespie claimed 3 for 46 off 10.
