Swifts hammer Pulse

The New South Wales Swifts climbed to outright second on the trans-Tasman netball championship ladder and recorded their biggest win of the season with a thumping 63-45 victory over the Central Pulse in Sydney.

Former Pulse shooter Caitlin Thwaites (30./36) and Susan Pratley (27/30) dined out on slick service from centre and captain Kimberlee Green and replacement player Sarah Wall.

The Pulse, who have never won in Australia, turned the ball over far too many times, resulting in 27 fewer shots for veteran shooters Irene van Dyk (32/34) and Donna Wilkins (13/16).

The Pulse, touted as New Zealand's best side before the start of the season, have won just two of their five games to sit sixth in the ten team competition.
