England knocked out by Proteas

The South African cricketers have eliminated England from the playoffs at the World Twenty20 competition in Bangladesh with a three-run win at Chittagong.

England won the toss and sent South Africa in to bat, the Proteas making 196 for five off their 20 overs with AB de Villiers leading from the front with 69 not out and Hashim Amla 56.

In reply the English made 193 for seven in their 20 overs but even though Tim Bresnan hit a six off the final ball, it wasn't enough.

South African captain Faf du Plessis missed the match after being suspended because of a slow over rate against the Netherlands.
