The New Zealand rugby union's boss Steve Tew says he thinks Super Rugby could one day be played in Japan.
It's been revealed that last year's All Blacks Test against Japan in Tokyo en route to Europe brought in around $850,000 in extra profit for New Zealand Rugby - and last week the Prime Minister said the All Blacks should visit China.
Tew says while rugby will inevitably expand further into Asian markets, a China Test's not in their immediate thinking - but a Japanese Super Rugby team could be an option in the future.
Tew says whatever happens with the next Super Rugby structure, the season won't be any longer - and the union would like it to be shorter.
