Johnson out of World T20 Cup

The Australian pace bowler Mitchell Johnson has been ruled out of the Twenty20 cricket World Cup by an infected big toe.

It's a blow to Australia's hopes of snaring the one major international trophy they have never won.

The 32-year-old, the form bowler in world cricket at the moment, will be replaced by fellow left-arm quick Doug Bollinger.

Johnson fired Australia to a 5-0 Ashes sweep over the New Year and a 2-1 Test series triumph in South Africa over the last few weeks but cut the big toe on his right foot in the third Test against the Proteas.
