Ramblers and Dodgers win softball titles.

The Mount Albert Ramblers are the national men's softball club champions for 2014.

The Ramblers won the major playoff against Wellington's Poneke Kilbirnie at Fraser Park in the Hutt Valley on Sunday and then beat Auckland United in the afternoon final.

They enjoyed a tight 2-1 win over PK with runs scored by John Hireme and the Black Sox Donny Hale.

In the final, the Ramblers defeated Auckland United 9-3, with Hale again starring with the bat hitting two home runs resulting in four runs batted in.

The Hawkes Bay Dodgers won the women's tournament at Rosedale Park in North Harbour beating the Magpies from Kelston in West Auckland, 7-3.
