Magic coach doubts Aussies dirtier than Kiwis

Organisers of the trans-Tasman netball competition have been asked to investigate comments made by the Central Pulse coach Robyn Broughton attacking the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

Broughton was critical of the Thunderbirds after they beat the Pulse by one-goal in the opening round - calling for a tougher stance on teams that use ill discipline to win games.

In that match, the Thunderbirds committed 78 fouls to the Pulse's 47 .

But the coach of the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic, Julie Fitzgerald, says Broughton's argument is tired.

The Pulse coach didn't want to talk about the issue while the competition's general manager Andrew Crook didn't return calls.
