New Zealand skier Adam Hall is confident his failed Super-G bid at the Sochi Winter Paralympics wasn't for nothing.
Hall didn't finish the event on the weekend after going off course, but bounced back to finish fourth in the standing class of the slalom part of the Super-Combined event despite tough conditions.
Rain and fog forced organisers to postpone the Super Giant Slalom part of the event until Friday.
Hall says the slalom experience will help him prepare to defend his 2010 gold medal in the individual event and believes Sunday's failed run on the Super G course will help him push for a medal in the Super-Combined.
The winner of the Super-Combined is the athlete with the best combined time from the SuperGiant Slalom and Slalom.
Fellow New Zealander Corey Peters is in seventh place in the sitting class.
