Ireland's given veteran centre Brian O'Driscoll a rousing farewell in his last rugby Test match at Lansdowne Road in Dublin, as the hosts beat Italy 46-7 in their Six Nations match.

The 35-year-old centre, who set a new world record for caps with 140, left the pitch midway through the second half having been instrumental in three of Ireland's tries.

O'Driscoll was named man of the match to enormous cheers.

He could round off his international career with the Six Nations title in Paris next weekend, if the Irish beat France.
