The Super Rugby season and playing career of the Wallabies and ACT Brumbies centre Pat McCabe could be over if scans confirm he's suffered another serious neck injury.

McCabe was taken to hospital last nigh after after re-injuring his neck in the Brumbies' 27-14 win over the Western Force in Perth.

McCabe broke his neck Wallabies end of year tour last year and the Brumbies are fear he may have suffered further damage.

The Brumbies are hopeful flanker David Pocock will be fit to play the Hurricanes in Wellington on Friday night despite the 25-year-old clutching at his reconstructed left knee late in the match.
