No NZ standouts on eve of trans-tasman netball champs

The former Silver Ferns coach Yvonne Willering says none of the New Zealand teams stand out in this year's trans-tasman netball Championship.

The competition starts this weekend with the Northern Mystics playing the Vixens in Melbourne; the Southern Steel host the Queensland Firebirds and the defending champions the Adelaide Thunderbirds travel to Wellington to meet the Central Pulse.

The round opens with the Cantrebury Tactix playing the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic and Willering says the Magic are likely to miss centre Laura Langman who's gone to the Mystics

She says the new coach Australian Julie Fitzgerald will change the Magic's style.
