The England and Tottenham Hotspurs football star Jermaine Defoe has played his final game for the club before moving to MLS side Toronto FC, who are managed by former All Whites captain Ryan Nelson.
Defoe, who scored 143 goals in two spells for Tottenham, was previously teamates with Nelson at Spurs in 2012.
Nelson is heading into his second season with Toronto, who have struggled in their time in the North American League.
The MLS season kicks off on March 8th.
