Foul trouble again hurts Breakers, season all but over

7:41 am on 24 February 2014

The Breakers assistant coach Paul Henare says foul trouble again undid his side after the New Zealanders were beaten 95-92 by the 36ers in their NBL basketball clash in Adelaide.

The 3-time defending champions playoff ambitions now hang by the thinnest of threads.

The Breakers guard Corey Webster got himself in hot water for accusing the league of limiting physicality on defence in a deliberate attempt to end the New Zealanders dominance.

However Henare says Webster was off the mark and they've only got themselves to blame for their spluttering season.

The Breakers are two wins outside the top four with five games left in the regular season and must win all of their remaining matches to have any chance of sneaking into the playoffs.
