Wallabies star Quade Cooper's confirmed he will play the Queensland Reds' Super Rugby season opener against the Brumbies in Canberra on Saturday night.
Cooper was hospitalised by a crusher tackle that injured his neck in a trial game against the Melbourne Rebels, but scans have cleared the Reds playmaker of damage after he was stretchered off late in the game.
Cooper says the crusher tackle should be investigated by the ARU, though he doesn't harbour any hard feelings towards any of the Rebels for the way they played the game.
