The New Zealand women's hockey team will play two tests in Taupo against seventh-ranked China at the end of next month.
The Black Sticks Women are currently in San Diego playing tests against Great Britain and the United States.
Head coach Mark Hager says the tests against China will help continue their build-up to the Hawke's Bay Festival in April and their pinnacle event of the year, the 2014 World Cup in Holland in May.
The Black Sticks Women have never played a game in Taupo and the Black Sticks Men have only played their once, winning 2-1 against Malaysia in 2009.
The games will be played at the Great Lake Taupo Hockey Club at Hickling Park and are scheduled for 6pm on March the 31st and April the 1st.
